One of the possible reasons for such user behavior is a lot of information that must be entered to place an order, which can be inconvenient on small screens. Therefore, customers prefer to put the desired items in the shopping cart and then go to their PC for checkout.

But should the process of buying from a phone be more complicated than from a computer? Couldn’t we reduce the number of required fields by providing, for example, the ability to authorize using:

  • PayPal, 
  • Google Wallet, 
  • Amazon, etc.? 

How about a handy feature to scan your credit card number with your phone camera? Safari in iOS 8 already knows how to do this.
