Gartner acquires software advisory company Capterra

B2Bnn learned Gartner, a global tech research and analysis company, has announced its purchase of software advisory company Capterra, for an undisclosed amount.

The press release states: “The acquisition of Capterra is consistent with Gartner’s growth strategy to invest in developing world-class products and services that help clients make the right technology-related decisions, every day.”

Capterra, founded in 1999 and based in Arlington, VA., connects buyers and sellers of business software. The video below sums up Capterra’s business model:

Gartner, an IT and research advisory company, is headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, and boasts 7,100 employees and clients in 90 countries.
