The most important Canadian startup story of last week: the announcement of the $40 million Golden Venture Partners Fund II. This is a major boost in particular for the Toronto-Waterloo corridor given the abundance of high potential mobile startups needing seed and early stage VC. It’s also fantastic to see Matt Golden, an experienced VC, entrepreneur and operator getting a 2nd fund so quickly based on his investing momentum. Congratulations Matt and Golden!
