This week saw a few notable hires and appointments in the B2B world. We’ve rounded up a few of our favourites.
Creative agency McMillan hired Erik Thane as VP of Client Services. Thane joins McMillan from Independent Thought, an innovation consultancy focused on marketing and business strategy, where he was founder and CEO. As VP of Client Services, Thane will lead the McMillan account team and join the agency’s senior executives in leading and growing its business.
Undertone, a division of Perion Network Ltd. (PERI), and a leader in high-impact digital advertising solutions for brands, announced the appointment of two former iAd sales team members at Apple — Danielle Rollo to VP of East Coast Sales, and Linda Kessler VP of Sales, Canada, respectively. Their brand and vertical experience will further drive Undertone’s position as a leader in creative-led, high impact digital brand advertising.
Rollo joins Undertone with more than eight years of executive experience rooted in sales and advertising. Previously, she was Apple Inc. Head of Sales iAd, East, where she was responsible for furthering sales performance and focusing on customer retention initiatives while building key customer relationships. Prior to Apple Inc., Rollo lead Live Nation as their Vice President of Digital Advertising and Sponsorship.
As head of Undertone’s Toronto, Canada office, Kessler will focus on driving significant market growth and building strong client relationships. She previously served as the general manager at Apple iAd in Canada and Senior Director, Partner Development at Machinima, one of the world’s largest online video platforms.
Investis, a digital communications company that helps brands tell their stories, announced the latest key appointments to build its creative and business development teams. The hires are part of an aggressive growth strategy in the US to meet the demand for the company’s corporate communications digital services.
Jennifer Kaminski has been named Executive Creative Director. She will be responsible for brand strategies and growing the company’s creative capacity in North America. An advocate of “design thinking and storytelling,” Kaminski has more than 15 years’ experience in digital creative. Before Investis, she was creative director at GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group), where she led the rebranding of the company. Earlier, she served as SVP, Group Creative Director at DraftFCB (FCB Global) where she built and led the Midwest Consumer Health & Wellness creative department. Kaminski began her career in advertising and corporate communications at Y&R and Burson-Marsteller.
Holly Hill joins Investis as Director of US Business Development. She will be responsible for growing relationships with the corporate communications teams at Fortune 500 companies as well as developing deeper relations with existing clients. Hill has over 20 years of consulting, account management, and business development experience.
Bernstein-Rein continues to deepen its senior leadership team under new managing director Chris Perkins, announcing today the hire of Steve Bullock in the new role as EVP, Director of Insight & Strategy.
Bullock joins B-R from MindShare in Chicago where he was Managing Director and Partner, Communications Planning. He has deep industry experience working at major global advertising agencies as well a founding and building his own successful planning consultancy.
